Philosophy Amplifiers consists of the two original founders, Kit Rairigh, and Elliot Polokoff. They were roommates at UC Davis, and have been band mates for the past decade. The desire to go into the amplifier business was a mutual one. Together they stepped up to the challenge of creating an affordable, boutique, tube bass amp. After extensive prototyping and design revisions over the course of 11 months, they finally breathed life into the flagship Philosophy amplifier.
